We set a high bar for ourselves and our partners, because being mindful of the environment is good business—and good for the world. Enviva is proud to source from suppliers working with thousands of private landowners who manage their lands for income and other values, such as wildlife habitats and aesthetics.

Working with landowners that manage working forests, we provide them with a key market for wood that often would otherwise not be used. We also work with third-party pellet suppliers to assist with a continuous security of supply.

Facilitating Landowner Certification

Timberlands in Enviva’s procurement areas are owned by hundreds of thousands of individuals, families, and corporations. Enviva is proud to offer forest certification to interested landowners in our supply region whose land meets certification requirements. Our forest management group certifies landowners to the American Tree Farm System® (ATFS).

If interested in enrolling in our forest management group, please fill out the form and a member of our sustainability team will follow up with more information.

Third-Party Providers Committed to our Work

To complement our production, we may also sometimes purchase wood pellets from third-party suppliers in the U.S. Southeast and from various regions around the world, including Canada, Europe, the Baltics, and Southeast Asia. In every case, we mandate that these suppliers are meeting the same high standards we expect of our own production. This requires that all our third-party suppliers are committed to sustainable and responsible sourcing within their own operations and supply chains and that all suppliers can meet, or have plans in place to meet, our requirements for responsible sourcing. Due diligence on these third-party suppliers forms an integral part of our Responsible Sourcing Policy.
